Botanica Body Care Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions

By applying to or participating in the Botanica Body Care Affiliate Program (“Program”), you (“Affiliate,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting your application.

1. Enrollment & Eligibility

  1. Application Review: Participation requires submitting an application via our affiliate portal. Botanica Body Care reserves the right to accept or reject any application for any reason at our sole discretion.
  2. Account Requirements: You must provide accurate contact information, valid payment details (PayPal email address), and links to the primary platforms (social media, website, blog) where you intend to promote Botanica Body Care.
  3. Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the Program.

2. Commission & Qualifying Sales

  1. Commission Rate: Qualified sales earn a 20% commission on the net purchase total.
  2. Net Sale Calculation: Net purchase total is defined as the final sale amount after promotional discounts/coupons have been applied, excluding shipping fees, duties, and taxes.
  3. New Customer Restriction: Commissions apply strictly to a new customer’s first purchase. Subsequent repeat orders, recurring subscriptions, or purchases made by existing Botanica Body Care customers do not qualify for commissions unless explicitly authorized in writing.
  4. Cookie Duration: Referral links utilize a 2-year tracking cookie. If a user clicks your link and places an eligible order within 2 years, the sale will be attributed to your account. If the customer clears their cookies or uses another affiliate’s link later, the final attribution goes to the most recent link or applied coupon code.

3. Coupon Codes & Tracking Rules

  1. Custom Discount Codes: Affiliates may be issued a custom discount code (e.g., 10% off for your audience) linked directly to their affiliate account.
  2. Prohibition of Coupon Aggregators: Discount codes and referral links may not be submitted to, posted on, or shared with third-party coupon aggregator sites, discount clearinghouses, or browser extension software (including, but not limited to, RetailMeNot, Honey, CouponCabin, Slickdeals).
  3. Forfeiture: Any sales generated through unauthorized coupon aggregator postings will be nullified, and commissions for those orders will be permanently forfeited. Repeated violations will result in immediate termination from the Program.

4. Payout Terms & Schedule

  1. Payout Method: All affiliate payouts are processed manually via PayPal. You are responsible for ensuring your PayPal address inside the affiliate dashboard is accurate.
  2. Minimum Payout Threshold: The minimum balance required to trigger a payout is $25.00 USD. Balances under $25 will roll over to the following payment cycle.
  3. Holding Period: Commissions are subject to a 30-day clearance window from the date of purchase to account for potential order cancellations, returns, or customer chargebacks.
  4. Schedule: Cleared commissions meeting the minimum threshold are paid out on a monthly schedule (on or around the 15th of each month).

5. Prohibited Activities

Affiliates agreeing to these terms strictly pledge to avoid the following practices:

  • Self-Referrals: You cannot earn commissions on purchases made using your own affiliate link or custom discount code for personal use.
  • Paid Search Bidding (PPC): You may not bid on trademarked terms, including “Botanica Body Care,” “Botanica Deodorant,” or variations/misspellings thereof, in Google Ads, Bing Ads, or any paid search platform.
  • Misleading Advertising: You may not make false, exaggerated, or medical claims regarding Botanica Body Care products.
  • Spamming: You may not send unsolicited commercial emails (spam), post link-farming comments on blogs/forums, or conduct unauthorized mass-messaging campaign activities.

6. Regulatory Compliance & FTC Disclosures

In compliance with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines, you must clearly and conspicuously disclose your financial relationship with Botanica Body Care whenever sharing your affiliate link or discount code.

  • Social Media Posts: You must include explicit disclosure tags such as #ad, #sponsored, or #botanicapartner at the beginning of caption text or prominently on-screen in video content.
  • Blogs & Websites: A clear notice must precede any affiliate link (e.g., “This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase through my link, I may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.”).

7. Program Modification & Termination

  1. Termination at Will: Either party may terminate participation in this Program at any time, with or without cause, by providing written notice to the other party.
  2. Termination for Breach: Botanica Body Care reserves the right to immediately freeze payouts and terminate accounts engaged in fraud, coupon-scraping, self-referrals, or violation of these Terms.
  3. Program Changes: Botanica Body Care reserves the right to update or modify commission structures, tracking rules, or terms at any time. Active affiliates will be notified of material changes via email.
